Lisa Clark

Operations Manager and Tax Preparer

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Macalester College, 1990
  • Master’s level coursework in non-profit management, 1992 to 1995
  • Administrator for non-profit organizations
  • H&R Block Tax Preparation School, Fall 2005
  • Individual Income Tax at St Paul Community College, Fall 2006

Lisa came to Minnesota from New Hampshire in order to attend Macalester College. After graduating in 1990, she worked primarily as an administrator for non-profits with an emphasis on community organizing. These positions introduced her to bookkeeping and payroll. To her surprise, she discovered a knack for it. More importantly, she enjoys it. Over time, her task responsibilities came to focus on the accounting function.

Prior to joining Lottsa, Lisa had been a tax client for years, so she has been aware of the company’s commitment to client service along with its sense of social responsibility. She began with us in 2006, and we’re thrilled that she’ll be back for a 18th year in 2024!

Lisa’s primary role is now as Operations Manger for the
firm.  Her long history with Lottsa means she is well suited to
maintaining systems and take on some supporting management roles.  Her
work helps keep things running smoothly throughout the year.  She also
continues to prepare the initial entry for a limited number of individual tax
clients.

Besides this job, her “other” life is at home and with family. She met her husband Brian at Macalester and they have a son and daughter (young adult twins). They live in St Paul’s Highland neighborhood. She and Brian have three sets of parents between them and they share the experience of being first generation Americans — both of their moms were born in Europe.
