Derek Settergren

Derek joined Lottsa in 2022 as a tax preparer, and will be working primarily on individual returns. Prior to joining the firm, he was a full-time parent of three children.  Derek has a bachelor’s degree in art and math from Winona State University and a master’s degree in math from the University of Pittsburgh.  After college, he worked for several years as an actuary.

Derek is also an artist who works primarily in painting & drawing, and he serves as vice president of Gallery 96, a group of artists who promote visual arts in the northern suburbs. Some of his other hobbies include camping with his family, woodwork, and board games.
