August 2025 — Experienced Tax Accountant (Minneapolis, MN)

About the role:

At Lottsa Tax & Accounting, we empower clients to make informed tax and financial planning decisions that encourage them to thrive. Our small, customer-focused team has called the vibrant Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis home for over 40 years. We are privileged to serve a fine array of progressive organizations and individuals primarily in the Twin Cities and are looking for an experienced tax accountant to join us.

What you’ll do:

• Review and prepare business and individual tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120, 1120-S, 990)
• Perform year-end accounting for tax clients
• Mentor less experienced staff members to develop their skills and knowledge
• Create tax projections for businesses and individuals
• Research and provide expert advice to clients and colleagues on tax strategies for small businesses and individuals
• Resolve client tax issues with IRS and MN Revenue

Who you are:

Required qualifications include 4+ years’ experience in business and individual taxation, experience working directly with clients, current licensure as a CPA or EA, and proficiency with QuickBooks. Experience with Lacerte is a plus.

What you’ll get:

• Up to full-time position, with heavier hours during tax season (our staff’s average is 45-50 hours/week) and broad flexibility the rest of the year
• Flexible scheduling, including the option to establish a hybrid schedule to balance in-person and remote work
• Starting annual salary between $90,000 and $150,000 based on experience and licensure

• Potential of partial ownership in the company within 2-3 years of hire
