Jean Evens, CPA
Jean Evens joined the Lottsa staff in 2019 with over 16 years of experience in tax preparation and accounting in both nonprofit and for-profit settings, including several years in public accounting. She has a B.A. in social work from St. Catherine’s University, a B.A. in accounting from St. Scholastica, and a Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of Minnesota, and she is licensed as a CPA. Prior to becoming an accountant, Jean worked in a variety of social service agencies and in higher education as a teacher and administrator. She met her husband, Brian Kontio, in northern Minnesota where they lived for many years and still maintain a cabin. Jean has one daughter, Kaarin, and one dog, Puddles. She is very fond of both of them, and of her husband, Brian. She also enjoys canoeing, hiking, reading, and yoga in her spare time.
