Daniel Palahniuk joined our staff in September 2009. In 2015 he passed the IRS testing regimen to obtain licensure as an Enrolled Agent (EA). In 2018 he became minority owner in Lottsa Tax & Accounting Services, Inc.
Daniel is responsible for preparing individual tax returns, working with business clients on entity-level accounting (largely through QuickBooks), overseeing client payroll reporting, and assisting the other professionals in the office as needed.
A transplant from Winnipeg, he moved to MN in 1989. He has a BSc from St Olaf College and an MA from the Institute for Social Ecology in Vermont. In the summer of 2009 he received a degree in Accounting from St Mary's University in Minneapolis.
Like Lottsa itself, Daniel has deep roots in co-ops. He worked at North Country Cooperative on the West Bank from 1999 to 2005, after which he joined the Hub Bike Co-op as their first bookkeeper and financial manager. In 2006 he helped start "Art of This", a non-profit collectively run art space in South Minneapolis.
Daniel is a QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor.
